Behind the Gates: Hayward Shoreline

Maybe you’ve been to Hayward Shoreline, but have you been to the fenced-off area protecting Least Tern nesting sites? Venture beyond those gates for a two-mile walk on a level unpaved road. In past years we’ve seen some great birds: Laughing Gull, Red Phalarope, and of course the endangered Least Terns, including nesting terns.

Registration opens at 1pm on Saturday, February 28 and closes at 11pm on Sunday, May 3.
