Date: Saturday September 12 -- 8 to 10 a.m.

Description: We typically walk a little over a mile at a leisurely pace on a nicely paved path along the San Francisco Bay Trail. In high season, we see an array of shorebirds and ducks along with a handful of passerines. There are three benches available along the route. We recommend dressing in layers and bringing sun-protective items (i.e., hat, sunscreen). Restrooms are available nearby at Shimada Friendship Park.

We will be gathering at a specific point along the San Francisco Bay Trail (see the Google Maps link for the exact location). If you're driving, the easiest option is to take Marina Bay Parkway to Bayside Drive and park at the end of the roundabout. From there, it's about a quarter-mile walk to our meeting spot.
