Description: Join us for a fun and informative day of birding!
For the first part of our tour (8:30-10am), we will be birding Martin Luther King Shoreline. Among other things, we hope to observe some of the last wintering migrants before they leave for the season. For the second part of our tour (11am - 12pm), we will caravan over to the University of California Berkeley campus and the renowned Museum of Vertebrate Zoology. In the museum, we will get the opportunity to see some of the amazing study skins in the large research collection. We’ll see specimens of many of the birds we will likely see at the MLK Shoreline; this will give you a chance to match your field observations with a closer examination of the study specimen.

Trail Type: Flat Gravel, paved
Facilities: Public Restroom on-site
