First Friday Birdwalk (Corona Hill)

Description: Join Randall Museum’s “Birder in Residence” on the first Friday of every month at 8 a.m. This month Dominik will be discussing Christmas counts. He will be encouraging folks to participate as well as going over skills and strategies to make people into better field counters. Golden Gate Bird Alliance sponsors three Christmas Bird Counts – San Francisco, Oakland and Richmond so this will be very useful and timely information.

NOTE : This site features steep terrain with areas of rocky/uneven surfaces including a series of long wooden steps, approximately 250 feet of elevation gain. Erosion has closed parts of the park, so come ready for a two hour hike and pack accordingly! Restrooms are on site but we may be as much as 20 minutes away at times.

Trip Size: 18 participants max
Directions: Meet in the museum parking lot, 199 Museum Way, 94114. Muni line 37 stops within a couple of blocks of the meeting site.

Registration will open at 1 pm on Tuesday, November 21 and it will close at 11pm on Thursday, November 30.
