Pier 94 (SF, Eastern Waterfront)

Volunteers will help with a variety of activities at Pier 94 on San Francisco's eastern waterfront, including planting and maintaining native plants, and removing invasive non-native plants in the uplands and along the Salt Marsh Wetlands shoreline, home to the endangered rare native plant Suaeda californica, common name-California Seablite. This plant is a rare host (food) plant for the endangered butterfly Brephidium exili, common name-Western Pigmy Blue.

Bring your water bottle. Wear closed-toe shoes, and weather appropriate clothing including dress in layers with long pants and long sleeved shirt. Bring your own gardening gloves if you like but gloves and tools will also be provided. Restroom on site.
