North Lake (Golden Gate Park)

05/25/2024 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM PT

Description

 Leader Janet Carpinelli at jcarpinelli@goldengatebirds.org

In partnership with San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department, volunteers support habitat that provides food and cover for local and migrating birds, butterflies, insects and other native species at North Lake in Golden Gate Park. We remove invasive plants, and add and maintain appropriate local native plant species that enhance and enrich the natural environment.

Bring your water bottle. Wear closed-toe shoes, and weather-appropriate clothing including dress in layers with long pants and long sleeved shirt. Bring your own gardening gloves if you like but gloves and tools will also be provided. Restrooms and drinking water nearby.

Groups are welcome but further RSVP in advance is required.  Please contact our Manager of Volunteer Services: jcarpinelli@goldengateaudubon.org.

Advance registration required. We also require all participants to read and accept Golden Gate Audubon’s VOLUNTEER LIABILITY WAIVER. By registering for this event, you acknowledge your acceptance of the terms of the waiver.
