Description: Spring is upon us but not all our winter birds have left. We hope to see straggling ducks and shorebirds including Ruddy Ducks beginning to look ruddy, Black-Bellied Plovers getting their black bellies, and many others changing into their summer outfits.
We will walk ~0.5 miles out and back from the Garretson Point Staging lot to the viewing platform across Damon Slough to watch the shorebirds come in and feed on the freshly exposed mudflat as the tide recedes. The path is mostly paved and flat and there are restrooms available in the parking lot.
