Elsie Roemer Shorebird Sanctuary

03/27/2025 08:00 AM - 09:30 AM PT

Description

Leader: Sharol Nelson-Embry, snenaturewriter@gmail.com

Date: Thursday, March 27– 8 to 9:30 a.m.

Description: The tide is high and the sun will be up (hopefully) with the shorebirds, pelicans, and ducks resting, bathing or feeding. Shorebirds may show off with some murmurations as they flex their wings to stay in shape for spring migration. If we're lucky, we may have a flyover of a peregrine falcon which often nests on a local bridge or flyby of a Belted Kingfisher.

Join us to take in the spectacle of shoreline wildlife on an easy walk with a combination of paved and sandy surfaces.
No restrooms are available. Viewing from a platform off a paved path. Some short rough trails can be avoided.
