Accessible Birding at Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park (Oakland)

Date: Wednesday March 26 – 12:30-2:30 p.m

Description: Join us at Oakland’s beautiful Reinhardt Redwoods for an easy mid-day stroll to explore the many birds that reside here year-round as well as the newly-arrived migrants returning to nest here. This trip requires less than .5 miles of traveling on mostly level paved and gravel wheelchair accessible terrain. There are benches at frequent intervals. We will gather near the Canyon Meadow parking lot. Please note there is no cell service in the park.

What to Bring:
Layered clothing, water, snacks, sunscreen, something to sit on if needed and binoculars. If you need binoculars please let Judy know by 5pm on Sunday 3/24

Restrooms:
The most accessible restroom (flush toilet) is at Canyon Meadow. Directions to the Park:

The easiest way to get here is to use GPS to Canyon Meadow Staging Area. Google maps will take you right to the parking lot.  From the Redwood Gate, drive to the parking lot at Canyon Meadow, the end of the paved road.
