North Lake Golden Gate Park (San Francisco)

Date: Tuesday April 8 – 9 to 11:30 a.m.
Description: We will walk around North Lake in Golden Gate Park and along some adjacent trails, looking for resident and over-wintering birds on both land and water. Total distance around 1½ miles. The trails around North Lake are level; there may be a little up and down hill hiking in the nearby woods. The trails can be narrow.
All levels of birders welcome. Please bring your binoculars. Rain cancels.
Trip Size: 8 Participants Max
Directions: We will meet at the south end of North Lake; at the bottom of the steps that lead down from John F Kennedy Drive, just west of its intersection with Chain of Lakes Drive. There should be parking available along JFK Drive and there is a restroom on the north side of JFK just a bit west of where we will be meeting.
