Bird Curious Trivia & Board Games Day at Dolores Park (San Francisco)

Date: Sunday April 13 – 12 to 3 p.m

Description: Join us for our first ever Bird Curious trivia and board game gathering at Dolores Park. We will bring the Bird Brains bird trivia game and the Wingspan board game but please feel free to bring any bird themed games you have. We also encourage you to bring snacks for yourself (and to share). Since we’ll most likely be sitting on the ground (grassy field), we encourage folks to bring picnic blankets and/or camp chairs. While at Dolores park, we’ll probably also take some time to explore the area and observe local birds so please bring binoculars (or let us know if you need to borrow a pair).

This gathering is part of the Bird Curious series. Bird Curious is for new birders and those who enjoy helping and sharing knowledge with new birders. Our purpose is to create community around birds and deepen our relationship with the natural world through shared education and discovery. Bird Curious events will always be free, but please register so we know you’re coming!

No binoculars? No problem! Fill out this form to check out a pair from Golden Gate Bird Alliance’s lending library. We will also have a few loaner pairs on hand, available on a first come, first serve basis. If you have an extra pair of binoculars and you’re willing to bring them along to share, please do!
  
This event will be mostly stationary, with seating on the ground. Restrooms are located here (google map link), near the corner of Dolores and 20th. If you require any special accommodations, please email us to let us know.

Directions: We will be meeting at Dolores Park (google map link). Since this is a popular weekend spot, facilitators will arrive a bit early to find a spot to lay down picnic blankets. We’ll text participants our exact location accordingly. Parking is limited, so we recommend public transit or carpooling if possible.
