Trip Leader: Alameda Team, for inquiries you may email Linda Carloni at fawr@goldengateaudubon.org or, on the day of the walk, text 510-206-0554.
Date: Monday, May 12 – 8:30 a.m to 10:30 a.m
Description: Corica Park, home of Alameda’s municipal golf course, is home to a surprising number of birds. We regularly see green heron, and have recently spotted Bald Eagles, all 5 local heron species in one trip, Wood Duck, Hooded Merganser, Barn Owl, Greater Yellowlegs and Spotted Sandpiper. You just never know what you'll see.
The walk will be about 1.5 miles, on flat trails. Restrooms only at the beginning. The gold course will be open to golfing while we are there. The group must stay together at all times and follow all instructions from the field trip leaders.
Greenway Golf manages Corica Park, and is in the process of renovating and restoring the vibrant ecosystem of the North Course. Greenway Golf's vision is one of environmentally sustainable, socially inclusive spaces for everyone - learn more at https://www.coricapark.com/mission/
