Date: Saturday June 7 – 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Description: We’ll meet at the Lafayette Community Center and walk the trail behind the Community Center. This level trail features a variety of mature trees and grassy hillsides, alongside a stretch of riparian habitat. Raptors, white-breasted nuthatches, and acorn (and other) woodpeckers are sighted regularly, along with other species. We occasionally see the Great Horned Owl pair who live nearby. This is a great hike for beginners and more advanced birders. The location has ample parking and nice bathrooms.
