Date: Sunday, December 7-- 8 to 11 a.m.
Description: This walk occurs monthly on the first Sunday of the month. We will explore as much of the Garden as we can in three hours, looking for birds that thrive in the many diverse habitats found there. Experienced bird guides will explain which birds are resident, which only live in the Garden seasonally and which might only be passing through. We will look and listen while we stroll through the Garden along paved paths and some narrower trails. The terrain is mostly flat with some gentle slopes. Restrooms are available. Explore the wonder of Nature while learning about our avian neighbors. Please bring binoculars if you have them. Beginning birders are warmly welcome! Entry to the Garden is free before 9 a.m. Heavy rain cancels.
Registration opens one week before the scheduled walk, on Sunday at 8am. Register via the San Francisco Botanical Garden website
