Instructors: Eddie Bartley (eddie@naturetrip.com) and Noreen Weeden (noreen@naturetrip.com)
Description: Designed as an introductory class for new birders, this class aims to increase your joy of birding through expert-led presentations and field trips on the basics of “birding”.
In four 2-hour Zoom programs we’ll discuss the how, when and where of identifying common birds in California and beyond. Topics include optics, field guides and helpful software, identification by sight and sound, basic bird families and morphology (feathers, etc.), bird families, favored habitats and locations, timing and birdy seasonality.
Eddie and Noreen have been researching, photographing and advocating for nature, instructing birding classes and leading field trips longer than most birds have been alive.
Please join us for the fun of discovering spring birds together!
Recordings of the lecture presentations will be available to class participants for a limited amount of time.
