Description

All Hands Ecology's Modini Preserve - Photo by Michelle Cooper

Join us for a delightful day of birding and wine in beautiful Sonoma County! We’ll meet at the David Brower Center and ride together to Healdsburg, where we’ll explore Pine Flat Road along the edge of the Mayacamas Mountains. Our route offers excellent habitat for a variety of species, including Mountain Quail, Golden Eagle, and Rock Wren.

We’ll also visit All Hands Ecology’s (formerly Audubon Canyon Ranch) Modini Preserve (not usually open to the public) to look for nesting Purple Martins and enjoy the rich diversity of oak woodland and grassland birds.

After a rewarding morning in the field, we’ll relax over lunch at a nearby winery, complete with a wine tasting. The trip price includes transportation, lunch, and tasting. Come for the birds—stay for the wine!
