The north side of Mount Diablo is a magnet for migrating birds seeking a refueling stop since riparian habitat is scarce in these parts. Along with migrants, we’ll observe a number of permanent residents and summer nesting birds—including warblers and flycatchers—while enjoying early wildflowers and butterflies.
