Elevation Sensation - Birding the Vaca Mountains

Enjoy the stunning views and bird a mountain ridge recovering from the 2020 Hennessey Fire. Come observe resident and migrant species during peak passthrough and breeding activity. This is prime habitat for Lazuli Buntings and Lark Sparrows, but with a little luck, Mountain Quail, Bell’s Sparrow and Rock Wren are all possible along the ridgeline.

Registration opens at 1pm on Saturday, February 28 and closes at 11pm on Sunday, May 3.
