Filoli Historic House and Garden, Woodside (NEW!)

Join us for a bird walk in the beautiful Filoli Gardens and Estate trails, through mixed oak, redwood and madrone woodlands, riparian corridor, and historic horse pasture. We could see up to 50 bird species, 33 of which are year-round residents. Kimberlie has been walking these trails 4 times a week for the last 5 ½ years and is excited to share her knowledge of the property, the vegetation and its bird species. After the tour you may stay as long as you like and explore the historic house.

Directions: 86 Canada Road, Woodside- From Highway 280 north or south, exit on Edgewood Road and head west. At the T intersection, turn right/north onto Canada Road. In ½ mile, take a left turn into the property. The road to the parking lot is ½ mile long. Park on the left side of the lot under the oaks and look for the leader there.

Registration opens at 1pm on Saturday, February 28 and closes at 11pm on Sunday, May 3.

Distance: 2.5 miles
Trail type: Flat, occasionally uneven pathways and dirt trails with small elevation gain. The walk around the historic house and gardens is on brick, cement and dirt pathways which are mostly flat. The Estate trail and the Spring Creek trails are on dirt paths with a slight gain in elevation.
