Date: Tuesday July 7 – 8:30 to 11 a.m.

Description: Come join us at Blake Garden to observe. It's summer and there is much activity in the garden. See the Cooper's hawk fledglings, Anna's and Allen's Hummingbird nests, Bushtits, Lesser Goldfinch, House Finch, California and Spotted Towhee's, Song Sparrows, Dark-eyed Juncos, Bewick's Wrens and others raise their fledglings. Blake Garden is a gem in the Berkeley Hills and it's only open Tuesday - Fridays 9am - 4pm. This bird walk will give you an insider’s perspective on the birds there.

The trails go up and down. There are stairs as Blake Garden is on a hill. Bathrooms are available on the premise. Come ready to hike and explore.

Directions: Heading North or coming from Berkeley take Arlington Blvd up the hill to the intersection of Rincon Rd. (at the flashing crosswalk lights and the Kensington Library) , turn left and drive less than a quarter mile to a left-hand turn into the parking lot which is shared with the Carmelite Monastery.  The address: 70 Rincon Rd., Kensington.

Registration opens on Tuesday, June 16, at 1 pm and closes on Monday, July 6, at 11 pm.
