Savannah Sparrows at Berkeley Marina Park

08/22/2026 08:00 AM - 10:00 AM PT

Description

Leader: Jeff Manker (jmanker@goldengatebirds.org)

Date: Saturday, August 22

Description: Savannah Sparrows need our help! Since the 1800’s the Bryant’s Savannah Sparrow’s habitat has largely disappeared. Today, they can be found in grasses beside Bay Area saltwater marshes. Join GGBA at Berkeley Marina park to see these sparrows as well as our returning migratory shorebirds and ducks on this special summer field trip.

Each of our Savannah Sparrow field trips is in support of our Summer fundraiser. Adding a donation at checkout supports our free field trips and work to restore habitat for Savannah Sparrows among other birds.

Limit: 20

Meet at the intersection of Spinnaker Way and Marina Boulevard.

Registration opens on Tuesday, July 21, at 1 pm and closes on Thursday, August 20, at 11 pm.
